Set on three acres within city limits, the home is an existing mid-century farmhouse established in what was once a rural landscape of dirt roads and horseback travel. The previous owners’ thoughtfully curated art collection established a strong foundation, giving the home a layered, collected sensibility from the start. Preserving the home’s modern bones was essential, while allowing the interiors to evolve into something personal and lived-in. The finished space reflects an eclectic mix of heirloom furnishings, contemporary pieces, and original custom cabinetry and furniture, resulting in a home that feels both intentional and deeply personal.

This full-home renovation was tailored to the needs of a family of six, blending thoughtful functionality with playful, personality-driven design. Individualized children's rooms were crafted to reflect each child's unique interests and character, while the main living spaces were designed to encourage gathering, connection, and effortless family living. Rich in custom details and unexpected moments, the finished home is vibrant, distinctive, and deeply reflective of the family who calls it home.

Known to locals as the "The Old Mill", the building was originally constructed in the 1920s as a tea room for the surrounding community. Decades later, it became the focus of a deeply personal restoration, undertaken by my parents as an expression of their love for both the home and our family. The design is, in many ways, a reflection of my mother. Creative by nature and an avid collector of antiques, she had an instinct for layering history, character, and beauty into every space.
